Dr. Jessica Schaumburg

Dr. Schaumburg joined the staff at River Ridge Veterinary Clinic in June of 2024. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Business Administration at Louisiana State University in 2020. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 at LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Schaumburg’s special interest in the veterinary field is surgery. She is a member of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association (LVMA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Her household is complete with two chihuahuas named Daphne and Hank, a handicapped chameleon named Gus, and seven chickens! In her spare time, Dr. Schaumburg likes to crochet and workout by doing Pilates. She is also a member of the Legion of Mars Mardi Gras krewe that was founded to honor the military and first responders.
