Kittens receive vaccinations for rabies, rhinotracheitis, panleukopenia, chlamydia, and feline leukemia. All puppies and kittens are recommended to be neutered or spayed, which not only prevents unwanted litters, but can also reduce the risk of certain cancers when they are older. Heartworm prevention and flea control is important for both puppies and kittens, and a product will be recommended to you, based on the lifestyle of your pet. Finally, nutrition is crucial during their formative years, and will be individually selected by one of our experienced veterinarians.
As pets begin to grow, wellness plans include booster shots for vaccines as necessary, dental examinations, physical exams, and bloodwork is recommended to establish a healthy baseline of their individual values. Food changes are in order, removing the maturing pet from puppy or kitten foods to products more suitable for an adult animal.
